Northern Metropolitan Assembly Wednesday 25 October 2017

Published: NORTH Link

The Victorian Government has established six Metropolitan Partnerships as a new and coordinated way for communities to advise government on what matters in their region. The Metropolitan Partnerships have been created because the government recognises that local communities are best placed to advise on what the issues and priorities are for their region.

The Northern Metropolitan Partnership will hold its first Assembly in October for 200 community and businesses members, and regional stakeholders. At this Assembly, participants will discuss the key priorities for the region and what solutions the Partnership can promote to ensure the Northern Region thrives over the next 35 years.

This feedback will inform the development of priorities for the region, which will be shared with the Victorian Government for consideration.

The Northern Assembly is taking place on Wednesday 25 October 2017 from 5.30 – 8.00pm. I encourage you to register your interest in attending online at or by calling 136 186.

Expressions of interest close Wednesday 18 October 2017.

If you cannot attend the Assembly, I encourage you to go online and answer a few questions that will help shape the agenda of the Assembly. I also encourage you to pass this information onto anyone in the North who would be interested in shaping priorities for the region.
